A Walk in Time

When I take pictures I don't feel like I am capturing a moment but possibilities. It is as if there are countless possibilities in this one visual for my mind to create a story around it. When that happens I know I have a great shot. I went to the Cleveland Museum of Art to do a photo essay for my Film & Media Arts Class 1040. Everything to me felt like I was in another time period, I have never been to the art museum before this trip, so the way that I viewed everything was like a kid entering a candy store for the first time.

This was the first impression when I walked through the doors, and it made me feel welcomed, overwhelmed and curious at the same time..

This armored item felt over powering, I wanted to touch but I didn't want to get in trouble

History up close and personal is a beautiful thing to see. The craftmanship was impeccable, I just wanted to play with the little doll figures

Now I just love this figure looks like he is in motion, and carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, I could relate to it.

I felt this was a more prominent piece, but the absent of eyes came off extremely uneasy, and yet i was drawn to it.

This Pulls at my spiritual roots, something so small felt so regal, like if I touch it I would hold "all power in my hands"!

This Photo was taken because I appreciate the craftmanship, the way the light glowed off of this item was beautiful, and the hinges on the case complimented the jeweled box

This photo was taken for the same reason as the previous phot, it's beautiful and I appreciate the craftmanship.

This fells like royalty, I feel like whoever in history wore this belt had all eyes on them

When I took this photo it made think because of the just positioning of his eyes and strong facial features, "he looks like an important man

My favorite of the bunch, deserves to be on display, this is the epitome of emotion evoking art. I cant get enough of the constant motion of this item.
